LUKOIL-Chermomorye JSC is a subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL specializing in integrated ship and cargo services. The company provides customs declaration, foreign economic activity and transportation forwarding services.

Project Objectives

Tasks

  • Developing a strategy for normative reference data migration.
  • Mapping (the process of matching data of the same type between the source system and the receiving system) of the account plans of the historical and target system.
  • Mapping of corporate normative reference data templates.
  • Designing and fine-tuning of the functionality of the 1C.Services corporate solution.
  • Developing migration mechanisms.
  • Fine-tuning and configuring corporate reporting.
  • Migration of normative reference data and balances, followed by reconciliation of the transfer results.
  • Updating user documentation.
  • Preparation and conduct of pilot operation.
  • Support for users during pilot operation.

Purpose of the project

Centralized reporting in compliance with corporate requirements by implementing an accounting system through replication of the corporate solution “IMS 1C.Services” developed based on the standard product “1C:Accounting CORP IFRS”.

Project implementation included six stages:

  1. Development and coordination of a strategy for transferring reference data for accounting and tax accounting, and mapping templates and charts of accounts.
  2. Design, development and testing. This stage involved generating requirements and finalizing the system and reporting.
  3. Integration with Integrated Management System (IMS)/Corporate Information System (CIS).
  4. Functionality testing involved configuring and preparing the system, developing test scenarios, updating instructions for improved functionality, testing and control.
  5. Pilot operation stage involved the preparation of regulations, configuration and preparation of the system, testing and updating of the design solution, and user support.
  6. Data migration stage involved uploading of accounting and tax accounting data, as well as regulatory and reference information into the database.

During the implementation of the project, the company applied unified methodological and technical approaches to accounting system customization, including changes in tax and accounting legislation and corporate requirements of LUKOIL PJSC.

The IT solution has been handed over to service support and the system was put into commercial operation.

The functional framework of the project included the following areas:

  • Accounting for assets, including: fixed assets; rights of use of the asset in accordance with Federal Accounting Standard 25/2018; inventory in stock, in use and on off-balance sheet accounts; and fuel in motor vehicles.
  • Accounting of business transactions in accordance with Federal Accounting Standard 6/2020, Federal Accounting Standard 25/2018.
  • Accounting of funds, including in foreign currency.
  • Accounting for long-term and short-term financial investments.
  • Accounting for settlements with buyers and suppliers, other debtors and creditors, including in foreign currency.
  • Accounting for settlements with personnel on remuneration, sub-accounting and other operations.
  • Revenue accounting.
  • Accounting for costs, work-in-progress expenses and the formation of a financial result.
  • Tax accounting, including income tax, VAT, including the performance of duties of a tax agent: property tax, land tax, transport tax, etc.

The integration scope of the project included setting up exchanges with the following corporate systems:

  • CIS “Electronic Document Storage’ (CIS EDS).
  • CIS “Corporate System of Dictionaries and Directories” (CSDD) in the “Contractors” directory.
  • IMS “Insurance”.
  • CIS “Unified Register of Property. The module of the real estate cadaster” (IMS YERI MKN).
  • IMS “LUKOIL: Centralized Management of Treasury Operations” (replacing IMS AKO).
  • CIS Electronic Document Management System (CIS EDMS).
  • IMS “SIP” (Supplemental Information Package).
  • CIS “Electronic HR Document Management.
  • Database of contracts.

Result

By implementing the solution, the following became possible:

  1. LUKOIL-Chernomorye JSC migrated to a corporate accounting system with centralized support from LUKOIL-Technologies LLC.
  2. Get access to methodological support of accounting, technical and user documentation of the system.
  3. Facilitate the work of involved personnel by using:
  • Centrally managed and delivered corporate templates.
  • Timely updated and regulated reporting.
  1. Use integration solutions available in the system with LUKOIL's corporate systems for prompt data exchange.

Customer Feedback

The solution meets the specified criteria, including those related to accounting and tax legislation, as well as the requirements of the parent company. Reporting requires up-to-date, complete and accurate information, which is available in the implemented system. In addition, the solution provides integration with related enterprise systems. We have acquired an effective tool for improving a number of key business processes in the company.
