Creating an integrated schedule for development of the Yarega oil field

Coordination of activities between the project office and business units of the oil well management department.

In conjunction with LUKOIL Komi LLC, ITPS Group created an integrated schedule for the "Development of Yarega oil field" project which is considered to be a priority project in the Geological Exploration and Production business segment of the LUKOIL Group.

The integrated schedule, developed by ITPS is a collection of related calendar work plans for above ground and underground infrastructure facilities, ensuring coordination of different activities: engineering, material procurement and construction. Using the integrated schedule for the "Development of the Yarega oil field" project improved coordination of activities between the project office and production services of the Yareganeft oil well management department.

Stages

During the first project phase, ITPS reviewed and completed a work breakdown structure for the first phase facilities developed by LUKOIL Komi staff. For this purpose, the ITPS consultants used expertise gained from other projects implemented for the LUKOIL Group and international best practices for calendar planning from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Association of Cost Engineers (AACE).

During the second phase of the project, ITPS created work schedule templates for different types of facilities (steam generators and water treatment plants, oil treatment and delivery stations, pipelines, etc.). Subsequently, together with the oil well management department and the project office, ITPS developed schedules based on the aforementioned templates for specific facilities and determined process correlations between them.
