The Platform Defining the Future. Participants of TNF-2021 Discussed New Strategies for Digital Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Oil & Gas Industry

22.09.2021

Innovations convertible into money – was the main principle of modern IT strategies presented by the leading players of the oil and gas and fuel market at the 12th Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, held from September 14 - 16, 2021. The experts of the ITPS group of companies took part in the forum. They discussed the possibilities of improving the efficiency of assets by using digital twins, databases, and integrated operations tools based on integrated platforms, including the Russian development AVIST Oil & Gas, with the representatives of major production companies.

TNF-2021 is a global industry event that serves as a communication platform for politicians and business people, experts, and market leaders, providing them with an opportunity for a partnership conversation and search for mutual interests. Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Yurii Borisov, speaking at the main plenary session of the forum "New Industrial Policy: World in the Age of Global Change," stressed the need for technological re-equipment of oil and gas and fuel and energy companies, as well as reducing dependence on imports, including in terms of IT.

One of the main topics of the forum, along with the issues of global decarbonization and the climate agenda, was the digital health of extractive assets. Today, all types of activities - from exploration and drilling to processing and transportation of finished products - are supported by intelligent IT systems. The business community was particularly interested in business cases in the field of integrated modeling technologies, enabling them to work through multi-variant production scenarios to select the most cost-effective and efficient one.

"In the coming years, the Russian fuel and energy complex, as well as oil & gas companies, will work in two main directions: improving production efficiency and responding to current market challenges, such as hydrogen energy development. The oil & gas industry needs to be equipped with the latest science and technology and apply advanced methods of production process management based on analytical scenario calculations to maintain profitability and competitiveness in the future. It is not sufficient to build digital models; it is necessary to take data handling to a new level, improve IIoT infrastructure, and create integration platforms for centralized management of all processes. ITPS has expertise in the creation and application of digital tools and unique approaches to efficient production management based on the Russian AVIST Oil & Gas solution. With our help, customers can reduce costs fast enough and achieve sustainable economic growth," commented Leonid Tikhomirov, CEO of the ITPS Group of Companies.
