Digital economy. Open Innovations Startup Tour and the IVth Perm Economic Congress “Perm Krai: New Challenges, New Era”

Open Innovations Startup Tour, launched by Skolkovo Foundation, is the largest Russian project focused on searching for promising innovative solutions. Under the auspice of the Government of Perm Krai, on February 6-7, 2018, Perm hosted the Startup Tour; the event was inaugurated by the Governor of Perm Krai Maksim Reshetnikov. The best speakers and experts explained how to turn an idea into a project, where to take money for that, and how to arrange team work. Representatives of all main development institutions provided the fullest information on all tools and opportunities for the support of startups and advanced innovative solutions. As the organizers state, the Startup Tour is the right thing only for those who are ready for global breakthrough and decisive actions. ITPS’s representatives were among the Jury of the Information Technologies track of the Startup contest held in Perm in the framework of the Tour.

Open Innovations Startup Tour business program included “Digital Economy. Time for Opportunities” plenary meeting and “Smart Perm. The Region and the City as Digitization Drivers” round table. The digital economy program has been under active development in Russia. The similar process has started at the regional level as well embracing Perm Krai among others. What are the outlines of the regional digital economy? Does the digital economy program take into account the need for development of smart city solutions and what opportunities does it have for local businesses which deal with technologies? The Head of ITPS Leonid Tikhomirov took the floor as one of the experts at “Digital Economy. Time for Opportunities” plenary meeting. The Head of Digital Solution Centre Dmitry Tachkin was invited as an expert on the part of ITPS to “Smart Perm. The Region and the City as Digitization Drivers” round table.

Following Open Innovations Startup Tour, Perm Krai welcomed the IVth Perm Economic Congress “Perm Krai: New Challenges, New Era” arranged under the auspice and with the personal involvement of the Governor of Perm Krai Maksim Reshetnikov. The Congress participants addressed the existing trends in the global economy and discussed problems of and ways for development of territories in new environment. The plenary meeting was followed by the strategic sessions: material production in digital era and digital education, crypto-currency, and Buy “Made in Perm” Products regional project. ITPS Group, as one of the biggest players on the IT market in the region, continued its active presence at the Congress among experts and participants of the strategic sessions.
