Capital projects are being implemented in various industries in Russia. The top positions in terms of investment are occupied by fuel and energy, transport, construction and property development. Moreover, according to forecasts from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, growth in these sectors is set to continue in the coming years. Therefore, ensuring capital project management efficiency at every stage of the lifecycle is top of the agenda for companies today.
On 20 November 2013 at the "Capital Project Lifecycle Management conference – From Green Field to iField" in Moscow – over 100 representatives of different industries gathered to discuss how specific project approaches and IT can facilitate capital project management in the current climate.
The conference organizer – ITPS – together with the Group's partners managed to set up a platform via which a productive exchange could take place between companies implementing large capital projects, operating organizations, engineering companies, consulting companies, and providers of technical solutions.
Presentations were given by experts from Russian and international companies – Siemens, IBM, LUKOIL Overseas, Oracle, ZAO MDS Grupp, ITPS, Petroleum Experts, ClickSoftware, Fiatech, Ventyx (ABB), and OpenText.
The audience comprised top managers and division managers from finance, production and IT departments, as well as capital project management specialists from companies such as Gazprom Neft, Rosseti, LUKOIL oil company, Rosneft oil company, Aerodromdorstroy, Atomenergoproekt, RN-Inform, INTER RAO Energy Efficiency Centre, Globalstroy-Engineering, the Russian State Registration Chamber, Kazakhoil-Aktobe, etc.
