The article by Leonid Tikhomirov published in a special issue of "Uzbek Oil & Gas Magazine" is dedicated to the large-scale industry event, The "Oil and Gas Uzbekistan" International Exhibition and Conference. The exhibition opened in Tashkent today, while the conference will be held on May 19.
 
In the article on "Integrated Operations: From Idea to Implementation", approaches aimed at increasing the competitiveness of oil companies and to managing oil production are reviewed. The publication focusses on the ITPS development - the universal integration platform AVIST - as a tool which can facilitate the transition to predictive management, in which the use of powerful integrated analytical tools with automated optimization allows for the predicting of events and more effective decision-making. The article discusses the functionality, advantages and effects of using the AVIST platform.
 
National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz is the founder of the "Uzbek Oil & Gas Magazine." According to the editorial staff, the magazine is published quarterly and is the only industry publication in Uzbekistan. On instruction from the management of Uzbekneftegaz NHC, a special issue of the magazine (available in both Russian and English) is published annually, to coincide with the "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan" International Exhibition and Conference.
 
The "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan" international exhibition and conference is the most well-attended event for the country’s oil and gas sector. This year, it is being held for the 20th time and is sponsored by the Government of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz NHC. Around 200 companies from 26 countries are expected to take part in the event, including a representative delegation from Uzbekneftegaz NHC.
