Yaroslava Khovaeva, a medical expert of the BIOT service, MD and professor, presented at the All-Russian Telemedforum. In the session entitled 'The role of employers in promoting public health: development of a health protection system at the enterprise through technological innovation', the speaker presented a case study on the utilization of risk assessment through the employment of BIOT digital service (ITPS proprietary development). This system has been designed for the purpose of remote health monitoring.
Research has shown that a strategy of mass disease prevention can reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks and strokes, by up to 50%. In order to resolve the issue of preventative medicine, it is first necessary to address the question of how to encourage healthy people to visit doctors when such individuals rarely present with the intention of receiving medical treatment. We believe the optimal approach is to undertake preventative work with organized groups of employees at enterprises. In this regard, the BIOT service plays a pivotal role, with people being involved in the prevention system," stated Yaroslava Khovaeva.
The BIOT digital service employs data from a smart wristband that measures a wide range of health indicators. The system generates personalized recommendations for both client and doctor using artificial intelligence. The service has implemented a system for the assessment of cardiometabolic risk, encompassing the risks of developing cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes.
