04.10.2024

The ITPS Group of Companies showcased its expertise in optimizing production management efficiency at the Baikal Risk Forum (BRIF), held in Irkutsk on October 1-4. The speakers, Vladislav Malenkikh, head of ITPS consulting projects, and Sergey Yakushevich, Deputy Director for Digital Production at ITPS, discussed the transformation of business processes and the introduction of digital tools using case studies.

"To get the result declared in the project, we started by transforming business processes that were scattered at the time. Our analysis encompassed approximately 100 business processes, of which 15 were classified as key, seven as auxiliary, and eight as target processes. In order for these business processes to work correctly, we proposed to change the organizational structure of the enterprise. This was how a new division, a remote operations center, was created," Vladislav Malenkikh noted in his speech.

Sergey Yakushevich presented several cases on the implementation of a production management information system. At the outset of the project, the estimated duration for a full cycle of shipment of the plant's products was approximately 42 hours. After implementation, the actual duration was reduced to 39 hours. The implementation of the system resulted in a 7.5% annual increase in shipped products, which in turn led to a corresponding increase in revenue.

During the plenary session, the forum participants analyzed the potential benefits and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and other technologies into their processes. Anton Rubtsov, Director of the Department of the Oil and Gas Complex of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, in his report spoke about the fact that the fuel and energy sector holds the 3rd place among the economic sectors using AI. More than 40% of companies use it in business processes and 20% of them note a significant economic effect from integration.

"AI is not the only thing that changes lives, you and I must also change," Stanislav Norkin, Deputy General Director for IT at Irkutsk Oil Company, commented in his speech. He said that the company is applying intelligent cues, digital vision, audio assistants and other technologies.

BRIF is a platform for sharing practical experiences in sustainable development and risk management. The Forum brings together experts, government officials and business leaders to address the challenges and opportunities of economic development in the context of global change.
