A smart way to health and wellbeing. Russian digital service BIOT to enhance health programs efficiency and support a healthy lifestyle

23.03.2021

Digital technologies used to promote wellbeing and longevity – today, this issue is more relevant than ever. Last year's events proved that your wellbeing and that of your loved ones remain the fundamental, most crucial value, regardless of a person’s profession and status. In this context, many corporations have increased the demand for Wellbeing programs to promote a healthy lifestyle, prevent diseases, and stay active and toned. Representatives of insurance and healthcare companies are creating and implementing various programs, but the question of how to assess their effectiveness still stands. With the right approach, the quality of life changes for the better, but this process is not quick, and people want to see the actual result of their efforts here and now.

These and many other issues were discussed on March 18, 2021, at the annual conference Affordable Medical Solutions for Enterprises: Special Conditions and New Opportunities – one of the critical events in the field of insurance and corporate healthcare. The online mode of the event allowed reaching an even wider audience than in previous years. The conference was attended by the representatives of more than 150 companies, including Alfa-Bank, Bashneft, Beeline, Gazprom, EVRAZ, Ingosstrakh, KAMAZ, Kaspersky Lab, ITPS, LUKOIL, Moscow Metro, MTS, NLMK, NOVATEK, Rosatom, Rostech, Sberbank, Sibur, Yandex, et al. A significant part of the speakers were delegates from insurance companies and network clinics.

One of the conference sections was entirely devoted to programs aimed at the prevention of diseases and promotion of wellbeing among employees. Within the framework of the section, the head of the ITPS Digital Solutions Center, Dmitrii Tachkin, presented an innovative service approach to the early detection of diseases with the possibility of round-the-clock support by a personal physician. The service is implemented based on the Russian BIOT solution, offering continuous monitoring of a unique set of human physiological parameters, thereby identifying and assessing health risks. These include the chances of developing glucose intolerance and type II diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, impaired adaptive capacity, chronic stress, and fatigue. The solution was created for those who want to live a long and active life, want to take care of their loved ones, evaluate the influence of negative factors of the modern pace of life, and introduce good habits into their daily routines.

BIOT is a proprietary solution developed by the ITPS Group of Companies. The solution allows gathering data from the HEALBE GoBe wristband and other data sources, accumulating and analyzing it, identifying patterns, assessing the risks of disease development based on mathematical algorithms created in cooperation with leading Russian physicians, and offering personal recommendations for improving health. By interpreting this data, the physician can offer more accurate and timely suggestions for the patient, track the results and adjust therapy as required.

"Taking care of yourself and your loved ones so that it brings tangible results is not an easy task, but it can be solved. Now we can develop the right strategy for maintaining health based on good habits and reducing external and internal negative factors. Faced with the risks of a pandemic, many people worldwide have seriously reconsidered their views on healthy lifestyles and began to invest energy, money, and time in health. And, of course, as consumers of services, they need to see the results of their efforts in dynamics. Developers of Wellbeing Programs work on the customer feedback system together with medical professionals. It was originally built into the BIOT solution. We understand that to bring maximum benefit, our product cannot be autonomous, it must be part of the created ecosystem, based on the breakthrough technologies and the main human values. Therefore, we are open to cooperation with healthcare providers and insurance companies. We can offer a powerful digital tool for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health programs, with which they will enhance their services and more relevant,” noted Dmitrii Tachkin.
