Digital innovations for blue fuel. ITPS at the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum

20.09.2022

On September 13 - 16, 2022, the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPGF-2022) was held in St. Petersburg. Traditionally, the forum was attended by the heads of the largest oil and gas companies, representatives of industry associations, scientists, and industry experts.

The ITPS Group of Companies presented digital solutions and services at the exhibition, united by the Digital Field concept. The approach to improving the efficiency of gas-producing assets involves using integrated geological and technological modeling technology as the basis for creating a digital twin.

This year, the forum participants were waiting for an extensive business program covering 19 thematic areas with more than 80 events. Significant attention was devoted to the issues of the informatization of the industry. The ITPS Group of Companies was invited to participate in the "Digital Twins of Production" session organized by the Komita Group of companies as an expert in the digitalization of oil and gas companies.

Aleksandr Krokhalev, Director of Digital Transformation of Oil and Gas Companies at ITPS, spoke to the audience about the experience of creating integrated models and a comprehensive production management solution based on the Russian AVIST Oil&Gas platform. This ITPS development allows automation of the work with an integrated model and ensures regular filling with up-to-date information. As part of the ITPS collaboration with RFD (tNavigator vendor), AVIST Oil&Gas functionality was tested. The calculations confirmed that the solution could reproduce the entire production chain and be used as a tool for obtaining additional production by controlling the potential and selecting the optimal technological mode of operation of the whole system.

"Integrated modeling technology is widely used in the Russian gas industry. However, when working with models, companies often face problems such as a lack of up-to-date data, visualization or planning tools, and a unified IT environment for specialists involved in production management processes. We offer our customers an opportunity to solve these issues at once, with the help of a single solution that ensures high convergence of the model and provides opportunities for effective work of a wide range of specialists," emphasized Aleksandr Krokhalev.
