BIOT digital service is the winner of the competitive selection of the acceleration program MedLAB Innovation Laboratory by Skolkovo

29.04.2022

On April 27, 2022, the Skolkovo Foundation held the final competitive selection of the MedLAB Innovation Laboratory acceleration program for digital medicine startups. The experts and partners of the competition reviewed more than 120 applications from startups; 22 of them made it to the finals. Only ten companies won, scoring the highest points on several criteria: solution, team, business plan, readiness for pilot projects, etc. Among the winners is the BIOT digital service designed to assess health risks and early detection of diseases and provide recommendations with the support of a personal physician (developed by the ITPS Group of Companies).

Projects were split between two tracks – Acceleration (projects in the early stages of development) and Incubation (projects with MVP or a finished product). Each solution had a connection to a specific medical problem, a unique business model, and clearly articulated plans for how to use the accelerator's support. The BIOT service was announced in the incubation track as a project with a finished product, a formed team, and successful implementations experience.

An additional offer was made to the participants of the Incubation track startups to pilot and fine-tune the product in medical centers (clinics of Sechenov University, the Moscow International Medical Cluster – Hadassah Medical, K+31, Ilyinskaya Hospital, L7 Mammology Center, and MedLAB). The pilot operation included project support, development of profile competencies, interaction with doctors and patients, and the opportunity to launch a joint pilot with the industrial partners of MedLAB.

"We are happy to be among the winners of the competitive selection for the MedLab 2022 acceleration program. This opens up opportunities for conducting pilot projects with program partners and receiving expert mentoring support from the Skolkovo Foundation, which has more than ten years of experience developing startups. Technologies do not remain unchanged, and it is essential for us to develop our digital service together with leading market players and with the opportunity to get feedback from experts in the field of healthcare," commented Head of the ITPS Digital Solutions Center Dmitrii Tachkin.

The BIOT digital service is a medical decision support system that remotely collects and analyzes human health indicators from a wearable device and uses mathematical algorithms to identify potential health risks in metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, impaired adaptive capacity, and so on at an early stage. HEALBE GoBe smart wristband devices are used to measure a wide range of vital human indicators without manual input.
