Digital Healthcare. BIOT by ITPS Group Wins the 2021 Technological Breakthrough Award

08.12.2021

BIOT digital service (developed by the ITPS Group of Companies is designed for the early detection of diseases and providing recommendations with the support of a personal physician) was awarded the 2021Technological Breakthrough Award of the National Technology Initiative (NTI). The award was established to identify the flagship technological projects of the National Technology Initiative, which can demonstrate performance results and become a benchmark for the entire market.

BIOT's award in the category "Technological Breakthrough in Personal Medical Assistants" was based on pilot projects launched in several Russian clinics in December 2020. The specialists of medical centres evaluated the patient's health condition based on comprehensive data analytics obtained from personal wearable devices. In 30% of clients, the risks of diseases and health problems were identified, such as thyroid disorders, insufficient hydration, sleep disorders, unbalanced diet, chronic stress, etc. A personalized approach to patient follow-up ensured timely detection of diseases and helped improve healthcare quality.

These cases were also presented at the V International Telemedforum, which took place on December 3, 2021, in the Skolkovo Technopark. Telemedforum is the largest annual event in Russia dedicated to telemedicine, digitalization of healthcare and rehabilitation.

"Implementation of digital solutions supports the development of personalized and preventive medicine. This award and the interest of the professional community in our expertise motivate us to stick to our chosen strategy of technology and product development, which will be useful both for physicians and patients. I believe that solutions such as BIOT in many ways determine the future of modern healthcare, as they help medical professionals to remotely obtain accurate information on a person's lifestyle and changes in significant health parameters. This, in turn, makes it possible to take timely measures to prevent the risks of disease development (including such risks as diabetes, cardiovascular complications) and support the client on the path to healthy longevity," commented Dmitry Tachkin, Head of the ITPS Digital Solutions Centre.

BIOT's digital service uses HEALBE smart wristbands that monitor various parameters without manual data entry: from calories burned and hydration levels to heart rate, stress levels, and sleep quality. The unique functionality of the solution allows us to identify disease risks before the symptoms develop.
