More Opportunities – Less Risk. The Second Stage of Creating a Production System for the Chemical Industry in Russia, Explained at the International Industrial Conference INNOPROM 2020

23.07.2020

This year the largest event in the industry, the INNOPROM International Industrial Marathon, which unites companies from Europe, Asia, and America every year, was held online. The speakers at the event were Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov; Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeniy Kuyvashev; Chairman of the Board, CEO of Schneider Electric Jean-Pascal Tricoire; General Director of Kaspersky Lab Evgeniy Kaspersky; CEO of Siemens Digital Industries Klaus Helmrich and others.

One of the most accented topics was the innovative development of industrial companies and holdings, through the introduction of breakthrough technologies and tools for digital production management. This issue is especially relevant for industries and enterprises with development opportunities, for example a current lack of information on the actual state of production, disunity of processes, losses in supply chain, slow response to changes in the market and other difficulties that impede production development and profit growth. The consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as supply disruptions and reduced business activity on a global scale, also influence the production process today.

A session on the topic “Lean production and increasing labor productivity at chemical and petrochemical industry enterprises” was organized by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise STC Himvest at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The discussion was attended by representatives of industry enterprises (GK Titan, Apatit, Gazpromneft -SM (OZSM), PJSC AK VNZM) and developers of IT solutions that help achieve the desired business results (industry leader Chemical Industry of Sberbank, ITPS and Deloitte CIS). The session was moderated by Igor Lyashkov, Deputy Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise STC Himvest at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The session participants spoke about the requirements for integrated development of enterprises and introduction of system analysis technologies, which today can be safely called the production system of the chemical industry in the Russian Federation. The companies in the industry realize the importance of modern digital tools for processing and analyzing large arrays of data, making it possible to avoid manual data entry, eliminate errors and duplication of information, and ensure transparency and control over processes and data.

“Any modern chemical production has complex technological conditions, high requirements for environmental safety and labor protection, as well as a huge amount of data that must not only be recorded, but also managed and used to effectively manage the production processes. Traditional methods and regulations no longer allow reaching of the required level of efficiency; it is impossible to keep up with the growing market demands and eliminate human factor influence. A comprehensive intellectualization of production is required – not only the introduction of digital tools, but also a transition to effective asset management based on comprehensive data analysis in real time. Even simple things such as digital management of MRO, master data, procurement, warehouse accounting, and finances and so on, significantly reduce labor costs and downtime. More digital tools in production means more control possibilities and less risks. The main thing here is to combine the interests of all participants in the process and to build a single interaction model. We have all the technical capabilities and methodological basis for this,” said Leonid Tikhomirov, CEO of the ITPS Group of Companies.

INNOPROM is the main industrial, trade and export platform in Russia. Here it is possible to discuss the main issues of the industry at the highest level, since the guests of the event are often not only top managers of major international corporations, but also heads of states. This year’s business program included 30 events, which were attended by over 200 representatives of the leading industrial companies from all over the world. In addition, the events were broadcast to over 20,000 professionals.
