Digital Biotelemetry Solution from ITPS at the Anniversary All-Russian Labour Protection Week 2019

30.04.2019

The main topic of the 5th All-Russian Labour Protection Week was devoted to “The Future of Labour Protection in Russia – Prevention and Safe Labour Culture”. The ITPS Group of Companies is a developer of digital Biotelemetry solutions and for the third year in a row has been active in the field of improving health and safety culture of personnel at industrial enterprises.

The All-Russian Labour Protection Week held in Sochi from April 22 to April 26, 2019 was the principal national forum at which pressing industry-specific issues were discussed and the best domestic and foreign practices in the field of occupational health and safety were presented. What labour protection will look like in the next decade, what the new trends are, and what route will be chosen – these were amongst some of the themes discussed by the participants of the Labour Protection Week 2019 this year held on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The event, which attracted more than 10 thousand people from 30 participating countries and 150 exhibitors,  was spread out over 75,000 square meters of exhibitions and 3 days of discussions and presentations across two dozen halls, with more than 100 round tables and plenary sessions devoted to the main event topic of  personnel health and safety.

Hans-Horst Konkolewski, ambassador of Vision Zero and moderator of the Strategic Plenary Session of Labour Protection Week 2019 started his speech with these words: “The level of injuries, unfortunately, continues to remain above zero throughout the world, and this is a serious challenge for labour protection professionals. Ensuring injury prevention and occupational safety in today’s environment is becoming increasingly challenging but we adhere to it. Every accident can and must be prevented, and this can be achieved through the active participation of all stakeholders in the work process.”

In their presentations at strategic sessions and round tables of the business program at Labour Protection Week 2019, the ITPS experts discussed the basic principles, new approaches and tools helping to solve most of the strategic tasks in the field of occupational health and safety today. The sessions entitled “Occupational Health and Safety Issue Management 4.0: Experience of Digital Solution Implementation”, “Optimization of Labour Protection Department: Efficiency Improvement Tools” and one of the most important events of the week – a round table on “Innovative Technologies in Occupational Medicine” were accompanied by heated discussions and active participation of event attendees.

Throughout the week the ITPS booth at the partners’ alley hosted guests from major corporations such as Lukoil, Gazprom, Rosneft, Sibur, Russian Railways and SUEK (Siberian Coal Energy Company). Discussions centered around the main task: that of promoting better health and safety and creating safe conditions for enterprise personnel.

“Today we are showcasing our digital Biotelemetry solution for the efficient management of labour protection and industrial safety processes. This solution is based on implementation of the  Vision ZERO concept. It is designed to identify employee stress levels, determine points of fatigue and moments when personnel are most prone to falling asleep in the workplace, pin-point  critical conditions and assess the risks of personnel developing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. And the main message of my report at Labour Protection Week this year is as follows: a company’s most valuable asset  is its employees, its human potential. The safeguarding of  employees and their ability to carry out their job as well as prevention of incidents in the workplace are the main areas in which we work.

Our main task today is to work to preserve personnel health using tools for a risk-based approach, one which is focused on the prevention and continuous monitoring of a person’s physical condition, which can be done fully through digital technologies. We see that with every year more and more people are starting to warm up to our way of thinking,” said Dmitry Tachkin, Head of the ITPS Digital Solutions Center.
