The Third meeting of the closed Oil and Gas Enterprises’ Architecture Club

On March 24, 2014, the third meeting of the closed Oil and Gas Enterprises’ Architecture Club, which is a special site for discussing the current issues of oil and gas industry related to developing IT-architecture.
Traditionally, the representatives of the four largest Russian oil and gas companies – Surgutneftegaz, Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazprom neft – took part in the event. At the meeting, IT experts shared their experience in the field of managing corporate architecture and discussed their goals in shaping the industry standards and solutions.

In the course of the club meeting such important matters as the development of architecture according to an enterprise IT strategy and the involvement of business into the architecture management were raised. The participants of the meeting agreed that one of the key goals today is the transformation of IT into a full-fledged business tool that would have a material impact on enterprise efficiency. Also, the participants covered the issues of developing corporate data warehouses.

Accenture acted as the moderator of the third meeting of the Architecture Club, and the event partners included Parma-Telecom (ITPS Group), one of the largest Russian and the CIS countries on the support and implementation of software for oil and gas companies, and Software AG, a German developer of software for organizations.

Therefore, the companies can openly discuss issues and share experience in club format, remaining competitors», noted Vadim Pestun, Managing Partner of Accenture Resources Operating Group.
