Russia – GCC Business Forum

In the period from 9 to 15 February 2014 in the UAE, the Almas Tower, the highest commercial building of the Middle East, hosted one of the main events in the area of Russian-Arabian cooperation: the Russian Business Week in the UAE.
The event featured over 400 government and business representatives from both sides, 5 agreements and memoranda on joint activity were signed.

The ITPS Group became one of the sponsors of the two key events of the Russian and Arabian week: the second Russian-Emirati Exhibition of goods and services and the «Russia – GCC» Business Forum (11-12 February).

The plenary part of the forum featured the Minister of Economy of the UAE Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the UAE A. Efimov, the CEO of the Russian-Arabian Business Council S. Yankovets, the Executive Chairman of the DMCC Ahmed Ben Sulayem, the Chairman of the Council of Russian Businessmen in Dubai (RBC) I. Egorov and many others.

Leonid Tikhomirov, CEO and Partner of the ITPS Group, also said his words of welcome to the Business Forum opening guests, remarking: «UAE Technology Market has very high development rate. In the Forum sections dedicated to Russian-Arabian cooperation in the oil&gas, electric power, investment and financial areas, to the implementation of infrastructure projects several ITPS Group experts presented their speeches.

During the Exhibition a stand of the ITPS Group was open for visitors where the participants of the Russian-Arabian Week could learn some information on the Group and hold negotiations on the cooperation possibility.

On the whole, according to the organizers, the «Russia – GCC» Business Forum reached the expected results creating a site for business meetings and for the socialization of business owners, companies and government representatives of the Russian and Arabian parties, as well as encouraged new business contacts and further reinforcement of mutually beneficial economic cooperation between Russia and the GCC countries.
