"Increasing Business Efficiency Through Project Management Using Modern Tools and Technologies" conference

The "Increasing Business Efficiency Through Project Management Using Modern Tools and Technologies" conference was held in Perm and focused on issues in efficient project management based on up-to-date software products, as well as solving various issues related to crucial data capture and monitoring processes required for managerial decision-making.

Developers of enterprise software and real-economy companies from the Perm region, Sverdlovsk region, Udmurtia and Bashkortostan participated in the conference. Presentations were given by experts from LUKOIL-West Siberia, Gazprom Invest Zapad, Kamskaya Dolina, LUKOIL Engineering, ITPS, as well as Microsoft and Oracle Primavera.

Representatives from the following companies attended the conference: Reduktor-PM, Chusovoy Steel Works, Kamastal Metallurgical Works, Management Company "Tau Neftekhim", Chepetsky Mechanical Plant, LUKOIL-Perm, Belkamneft, NPO "Iskra", PNPPK, ENERGOSERVICE, Bank of Moscow, Kamskiy Kabel, Solikamskstroy, and Perm Commercial House of Real Estate.

The first part of the conference focused on new developments in the area of information processing and streamlining of the managerial decision-making process. Software solutions presented by developers were designed to let companies receive real-time data on KPIs in an easily-accessible- format, and to analyze information using different methods.

During the second part of the conference, companies shared case studies and results from implementing innovative management technologies. They emphasized the main effect of using automated programs for planning and managing implementation of development strategies was the increased quality of interaction between different functional units within a company and reduced project implementation costs, owing to the high-quality labor and cost assessment for each type of work.

All in all, implementing the presented solutions would, according to the speakers, not only provide a comprehensive picture of a business’s performance, but also enable the implementation process of every specific project to be monitored.
