Integrated modelling (IM) is one of the most effective technologies capable of improving the profitability of production when operating a fleet of wells with complex geographical characteristics. Experts from Gazpromneft-Orenburg LLC and Gazprom Neft PJSC spoke about the practical experience of using this technology in the Eastern section of the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field (ONGKM) – the largest oil and gas condensate field in the Orenburg region. The approach allowed the project team to find tools to reduce the impact of the facility’s unique features (bottlenecks in the process chain, pulsatory operation of gas lift wells, hydrate formation in the gas lift gas supply system and build-up of paraffin deposits in the oil recovery system), as well as achieve positive dynamics in the field of production and profitability of an oil and gas production company.
The article published in the scientific and technical journal “Oil.Gas.Innovations” was prepared together with the ITPS experts involved in the project on IM development for the Eastern section of the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field. The article is also included in the digest of reports of the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference* "Intelligent Field: Innovative Technologies from the Well to the Main Pipe" (Sochi, October 7-12, 2019), read more on pages 30-34.
