Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC has built an integrated digital system for production and management processes in partnership with ITPS

12.09.2019

Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC has announced the successful completion of several complex projects implemented as part of the Management System Transformation and Development Programme for Tatburneft. The contractor for the project is the ITPS Group of Companies. The purpose of the Programme is to increase the manageability of the company, reduce expenditure and the cost of production, and reduce the time required for the basic production processes in compliance with existing technological standards.

Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC (part of TagraS Holding) provides a wide range of services for drilling and well development for oil and gas companies both on a turnkey basis and as stand-alone services. Being a key player in its market segment, the company is constantly improving its technical base and has been closely engaged in complex informatization of production processes for more than two years. For this purpose, a programme for the transformation and development of the management system was launched., This involves the creation of an integrated information system, which supports production, management and supporting processes – unified, transparent and clear for all departments.

The ITPS Group of Companies acted as an integrated IT partner for digital transformation of Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC and created and implemented several projects under the programme, in which many teams were involved. The scope of work can be divided into two major stages. The first is process modelling and preparation of a development strategy, an integrated solution architecture and project programme management tools. The second is the design, implementation and commissioning of the integrated information system functional modules.

At the first stage, the ITPS experts together with the specialists from Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC developed a target model of the company’s business processes, with a description of all processes detailing the functions of the departments and determined their roles in the management structure. Based on this data, integrated information system architecture was developed in connection to the described processes and organizational structure. To manage the project program, a portfolio and project management system was developed, which includes the procedures and the IT tools for project management.

At the second stage, a comprehensive solution based on modern 1C software products, integrated among themselves according to the ITPS procedures was deployed. Implementation and interconnection of several information systems and modules was performed: production planning and accounting, management of revenue contracts, estimated accounting system, personnel management, management of common directories, procurement and warehouse management, internal and external transport, etc.

Development of a modern integrated digital system for monitoring production processes became an important stage in the innovative development of Tatburneft Asset Management Company. For the first time in its history, the company implemented a fundamentally new approach to management, which significantly reduced the time for data transfer between the departments at various levels. All business processes of both core production (well construction) that all production departments (drillers, erection workers, geologists, technologists) work with and support processes are consolidated within the system. Information is available to all business process participants at all management levels at the same time. This approach eliminates data duplication and information discrepancy in different systems and ensures timely decision-making.

The use of digital tools and the presence of such a level of production process management enables Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC to reduce the time required for works execution while maintaining high quality and level of control over the processes, thereby increasing investment efficiency for the customer and strengthening the status of LLC Tatburneft in the market of oil field services.

“An effective business model of a modern enterprise implies that all processes are streamlined and work together to achieve the required result. For us, this is inextricably linked with increased controllability and productivity, lower costs, reduced wells’ construction time, and optimization of labour costs. This is a whole lot of organizational transformations in strict compliance which should be performed according to all relevant standards. A comprehensive information system created in collaboration with the ITPS Group of Companies, together with the economically justified management approaches, represent our solid digital ‘foundation’ on which we erect the ‘building’ of an effective and competitive business. Our successful experience is highly appreciated at the TagraS Holding level. The innovative approaches we tested were found to be useful in other divisions,” mentioned Albert Iskhakov, Director of Tatburneft Asset Management Company LLC.

“Combining functional modules into a single intelligent system is the key strength of our team. We had a global task – to create integrated and transparent manageable business processes, which in the future can be upgraded without interfering in the main production. We do not just introduce digital innovations – we create conditions in which they work most efficiently and produce the expected result. I am confident that the Tatburneft integrated information system has great potential – this system is completely ready for further development without requiring major changes in the process model or architecture,” said Leonid Tikhomirov, CEO of the ITPS Group of Companies.
